All roads pointed towards Dromroe Village last Saturday morning and in particular to the University of Limerick as the 51st DLI Summer School got underway.
If you feel it’s time to switch off from work or the homelife – to immerse yourself in all things theatrical for a period of days – then nowhere better to do that than at the DLI Summer School – a retreat for the imagination. With a great selection of daily courses and workshops to wet the apatite, there is something for every drama enthusiast.
But it’s not all work as you’ll have seen from the DLI Facebook Page, with quizzes, the DLI’s Got Talent Competition and lots of socialising to be done, there is plenty to keep you and your wallet busy over the 8 days.
DLI Summer School is run entirely by volunteers. Anne Mekitarian, the DLI Summer School Director 2016 stated in their recent publication; “Bernie Harten (Chairperson of the DLI) and I have primed the tutors, planned the parties, and set the stage for a course of personal challenges, innovative ideas and inspired tuition. We will do our utmost to ensure that you experience a week to remember and one that will live up to all your expectations!”
If you are attending, no doubt you are enjoying one of the below seven courses that are available to take. If not, there is always next year. Start planning now.
